In the community
Every squadron plays an important role in the local community, and 414 Squadron is no exception.
Each year, we regularly assist the Royal British Legion and RAF Association with fund-raising for the Poppy and Battle of Britain "Wings" Appeals, respectively. We also take part in the various memorial parades on Battle of Britain and Remembrance Sundays. Just speaking with some of the veterans makes you realise how lucky we are today, in that we have the freedom to take part in such activities.
We have also provided assistance with car-parking at events on North Weald airfield, Carol Services at All Saints Church, Theydon Garnon and drill displays at school fetes.
