I’ve done it at last – I’ve joined another band. This one’s called Bone Idol and is based around the Herts/Cambs/Essex area.

We play your typical pub rock, but I’m hoping to bring a few new ideas in… if the guys will have them!

Well, it’s done. Item number 2 on my “bucket list” is complete (#1 was to have a loving wife and kids – without them, the other items are meaningless) . Three and a half months’ rehearsal over in a flash.

Well, I’ve done it: I’ve finally updated our home laptop to Redmond’s latest and greatest – Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit (having a year’s free subscription to TechNet has its benefits!). The clunky old Vista Home Premium (32-bit) that the machine came shipped with was just getting too frustrating… I don’t have much hair left, and I’d like to keep what’s there, thank you Mr. Ballmer.

I recently picked up a Strat-type guitar as part of a package with my new Blackstar HT-5 combo (awesome amp, more detail to come later). It’s not one that I particularly need, so I’m looking to offload it for a reasonable price.

It’s made by Johnson and has own-branded pickups, made by EMG. It’s as purchased (I haven’t even plugged it in) and is still boxed. The paint job is a very dark blue metallic – I suppose “midnight blue” would be an apt description.
