I've just read on the BBC news site that Robert Palmer has died (aged 54) of a heart attack.
"Addicted to Love" was one of the many RP tunes I grew up with, and recently gigged. The song's video made such an impact that it was plagiar... sorry, borrowed, to form the basis of Shania Twain's "Man! I Feel Like A Woman".

Now there's a question... when does creativity become an homage, rather than a rip-off?
